Black and tans and the famine? What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Opinion polls show that the majority of the north are in favor of staying in the UK. Fucking dipshit.
By murph277v, November 9, 2011 @ 8:41 pm
@Coltaculuss “People in the north like being part of the UK” do researchbefore you make a statement like that,i bet the term black and tans or famine dont ring a bell with you….dont you dare take the moral high ground
By thegameulost, November 9, 2011 @ 9:34 pm
Statistically speaking, this match-up was a curb stomp. Probably because it was the most unfair match-up since pirate vs. knight.
By kianserranilla, November 9, 2011 @ 10:14 pm
thank god it ‘s in a right version because when i watch the other spetsnaz vs ira it is in a left version by nkorey2000
By su35bmsoldier, November 9, 2011 @ 10:53 pm
wait second is that black guy in spestsnaz i did not know that !!!
By ieyedmonster, November 9, 2011 @ 11:10 pm
during the years 71 and 72 there was more dead british soldiers coming home from n ireland than there was in afganastan or iraq today and for the size of northern ireland the ira must have been whacking british soldiers left right and centre one shot paddy had a feild day
By stormpezzullo, November 9, 2011 @ 11:54 pm
This was really an unfair match up. Spetsnaz are friggin special forces. IRA are freedom fighters. Not really your go to fighting force. No offense.
By Floppy2Blueray, November 10, 2011 @ 12:02 am
@Coltaculuss Lol as if we didnt know that nice insults by the way
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 12:08 am
@keveydaking Yes, but for the last time the only reason the soldiers stayed was because of groups like the IRA. If the IRA had declared a ceasefire early the Army could have withdrawn; which eventually happened.
The soldiers only became unpopular because of searches made necessary by the IRA, they would have withdrawn in months if the IRA hadn’t made a war of it.
You simply can’t impose your views on the majority through murder in a democracy, and the IRA were pushing for independence.
By keveydaking, November 10, 2011 @ 12:15 am
@maccyjames64 killing soldiers serve a purpose. It woke up the british government and to actually take the situation in northern ireland seriously. Plus having territories occupied by the IRA most definetly protected catholics. A place run by the british forces would only result in yet again unhappy catholics
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 12:34 am
@keveydaking The IRA served no purpose because it protected no one by killing soldiers, instead making the soldiers more on edge and in increased numbers. Civil change came because of pressure from Westminster over the riots. The whole violent campaign was therefore a pointless and tragic loss of life, aimed at bringing about unpopular Irish union and not the furthering of civil rights.
I hope you can more or less agree on reflection now.
By keveydaking, November 10, 2011 @ 12:46 am
@maccyjames64 i agree somewhat, but i still think the IRA served a purpose during the troubles, although somewhat less as the years went on
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 1:09 am
@keveydaking I don’t condone any of those groups, it’s just you were defending the IRA in particular .
You must remember the IRA killed by far the most out of any other party… but that doesn’t make the others just either.
Do we agree now?

@Floppy2Blueray
If the Nationalists win then it becomes part of the Republic. That’s how democracy works you stuipd fuck.
By Floppy2Blueray, November 10, 2011 @ 2:24 am
@Coltaculuss What happens on the next vote when the Nationalists are in majority???? Should they just get over it?
By Coltaculuss, November 10, 2011 @ 3:17 am
@Floppy2Blueray
The majority do dipshit. That’s why the last vote they had on it was a landslide victory for the Unionists.
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 3:48 am
@laneyjakey Ulster has a right to be British, your ridiculous reaction to that fact shows how close minded you are. They are not under English rule, they have a parliament and are represented proportionately in Westminster.
Like the other guy said ‘if they like the UK so much why don’t they fuck off out of Ireland’ makes no sense because they do in fact live in the UK and have every right to retain their homes… however intolerant racists like yourself might react to that.
By keveydaking, November 10, 2011 @ 4:26 am
@maccyjames64 and why are so quick to blame the IRA? what about the UVF, UDA, RUC and even the UDF?
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 4:57 am
@Floppy2Blueray Well they do, they’ve been polled and had two referendums. Britain would be glad to loose N. Ireland if they could but Ulster has a right to be British until it votes otherwise.
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 5:48 am
@keveydaking I know! For the Nth time i know the history as well as you do.
The point I am making is that the IRA dragged out a conflict which should not have continued past the civil rights issues of the early 70′s and did a great deal of damage to the country. Initial attacks on neutral soldiers were unjustifiable and achieved nothing but the deployment of more soldiers and made unpopular house to house searches necessary. Is that not fair enough?
By keveydaking, November 10, 2011 @ 6:44 am
@maccyjames64 british troops being sent in was a result of the battle of the bogside, which wasnt an IRA riot, but a nationalist riot
By maccyjames64, November 10, 2011 @ 7:07 am
@keveydaking There were not protecting or serving protesters, they were provoking unionists and forcing the government to commit troops. Many decent men never made it home thanks to those bastards.
Bloody Sunday was a travesty and highlighted the deterioration. Do you think that those para’s just happened to be largely psychos? No, these were ordinary young lads who had been frustrated by violent tour in which they were not allowed to return fire. In the end they panicked and disobeyed orders.
By Floppy2Blueray, November 10, 2011 @ 7:51 am
@Coltaculuss “People in the north like being part of the UK,” yea that says it all about your grasp on Northern Ireland.
By laneyjakey, November 10, 2011 @ 8:07 am
YOUR FUCKING GAY BRITTISH PIECE OF SHIT
By Coltaculuss, November 10, 2011 @ 8:48 am
@laneyjakey
But N. Ireland is part of the UK, and they want to keep it that way. N. Ireland is their home, and they want to stay in the UK for various reasons. Many Unionists think of Ireland as a catholic theocratic shithole, and TBH I find myself agreeing with them on that matter. For economic reasons it is not a good time to unite with Ireland due to the recession, and for cultural reasons they just like being part of the UK.
They don’t want to be part of the Republic, deal with it.
