The videos of how to make similar items are really useless on YouTube so I thought I’d give it my own attempt. Mine uses strong aluminum tubing from a metal crutch I found. This is a life size model. Most knives will work, but you have to find ones with a narrow flat handle and a solid blade. You will have to cut down the handle and “Cold Weld” or Epoxy the blade in place, inside the metal tube. Background: The Ballistic Knife was outlawed in 1986. The blade can travel up to 6 meters (about 18 feet) or more at 63 km/h (39 mph) The firing handle, though very rare, is still legal. Thanks bugenoid The Steel Rod Use: Drill two holes that are parallel in the tube that will be your missile. Then you cut a small section of the rod and insert it into the drilled holes to to keep the springs from bursting out the top of the launcher. Secure the steel rod section with drops of super glue.

    @orphan834 I think he is just saying, this is illegal since it is a spring loaded mechanism opposed to a gun powder. so Spring=illegal and gunpowder=legal.

    @tjkscarface technically if you build it then disassemble it within 24 hours and you did not fire/ harm any animal/person with it or attempt to endanger a life you cannot be prosecuted
